Lonsec rates OC fund ‘Highly Recommended’
Lonsec has upgraded its rating of the OC Premium Small Companies Fund (the Fund) to ‘Highly Recommended’.
In its most recent report, Lonsec notes the Fund represents “an appealing combination of a specialist small-cap team led by a highly experienced and motivated portfolio manager applying a tailored company research approach which has translated to an impressive performance record”.
The Fund is managed by OC Funds Management (OC), a boutique Australian equities small-caps manager led by Head of Investments, Robert Frost.
Commenting on the rating, Frost said, “We’re thrilled to be rated ‘Highly Recommended’ and have our small-caps capabilities recognised. We’re currently managing around $500 million in FUM and have a scalable strategy so we are capable of managing more for new and existing investors.”
Sam Baillieu, Chief Executive Officer of Copia Investment Partners, OC’s distribution partner, also commented, “This is a fantastic, well-deserved result and a positive endorsement of Rob and the team. It is testament to their proven process and strong long-term track record.”
At 31 January 2016, the Fund had returned 14.3%, 12.0% p.a. and 12.5% p.a. over one, three and five years, respectively.
